Year 8 have been visited by the English Civil War Society

Year 8 have been studying the English Civil War and this morning they were visited by a member of the English Civil War Society.

Colonel General Posthumous Kurton from the King’s regiment popped in to see Year 8 and discuss the Battles of the English Civil War.

Year 8 have been looking at the causes of the Civil War in 1642, the role Hull played and the

New Model Army – the opposing side to the Colonel.

There was heated discussion about who really won but luckily the muskets were only replicas and not loaded.

Thank you for taking your time to come and visit us, Colonel General Posthumous Kurton and Miss Evans for organising it.
