Development of Sporting Facilities at The Snaith School
Sport is part of our national identity. Sport is good for us. It teaches our children how to rise to a challenge, nurturing the character and discipline that will help them get on in life. Above all, sport is fun. Learning to play a sport leads to a lifetime of enjoyment.
Having being recognised as a preferred location, we are currently working closely with the Football Foundation and West Riding Football Association to develop our sporting facilities with the installation of a 3G Artificial Grass Pitch for use by the school and local community.
The installation of a 3G pitch is approximately £600 – £650K. We have been set a challenging target by the Football Foundation to raise 50% of the money i.e. approximately £300 - £320K. This is obviously not an easy task and one that we cannot do alone so this is where we need your help, together with pupils, staff, members of the community and local businesses.
Do you have or know anyone who has time to volunteer their time to help with grant and bid writing? Do you work for or know anyone who works for a company that offers match funding? Have you any ideas on community events we could run to raise funds? Has anyone or do you know anyone that has experience if applying for gift aid? Could you offer time to send out letters to local companies or deliver leaflets in the local community? Could you help out at any fund raising events?
If you have any ideas or would like to offer support in anyway, please contact Helen Manners-Vaughan, Strategic Business Manager at school by telephone or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. The more ideas and support we have the better chance we have of being successful with our fundraising and ultimately having a sporting facility on our school site that can be used by the community and future generations.
We also have a crowdfunding page where donation can be made for the fund raising campaign https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/the-snaith-school
Many thanks in advance for your continued support.
Our Parent Teacher Association, the SSA (Snaith School Association) are involved in raising additional funds for the school. Through organised events which run throughout the year. Click here to find out more.
