A warm welcome from the Year 7 form tutors!

Mrs Willden Form tutor of 7CW

Hello, I am Mrs Willden and I am one of the year 7 form tutors. I have been a PE teacher at The Snaith School for 17 years and my favorite sports are Netball, Athletics, Badminton and Rugby. I also enjoy mountain and road biking outside of school. My hobbies include gardening, walking and exploring with my children and watching films. I am a huge Star Wars fan.

I hope you all have a nice summer and I can’t wait to meet you all in September.

Mr Gardner Form tutor of 7GG

Form Tutor's Welcome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEHAVnwnGdM

Hello I am Mr Gardner!

My form is the best form. It is 7GG. I encourage my form members to be honest and cooperative. We create an environment in 7GG of kindness where we all work towards creating the type of friendly, supportive environment we all want to be in. It is a form where anyone should feel comfortable talking with anyone else. I'm a keen guitarist and a Tottenham Hotspur fan. Consequently, I spend most of my school day hearing from Leeds United fans that my team is rubbish because we only finished second in the Champions League. I look forward to finding out more about you and welcoming you in the near future.

Miss Till Form tutor of 7MT

I have worked at The Snaith School for 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it and so will you.  I work in the Computing department (so have a computer room as a class/form room) and I also run The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme within the school.

During lock down I have found my inner Mary Berry, baking lots of biscuits and cakes and can normally be found with a cup of coffee in my hand in school and out.  I love being a Year 7 form tutor and cannot wait to welcome you to the school and help you settle in.

Miss Adlington Form tutor of 7SA

My name is Miss Adlington. I will be one of the year 7 form tutors you will see from September. I have been at The Snaith School for the last 6 years and have absolutely loved it, and I am very confident you will love your time here too!

Not only am I a year 7 form tutor but I am also a Maths Teacher, I also oversee KS3 Maths as the Achievement Leader.  A few things about me….. when I was younger I used to have horses and used to love competing with them in jumping competitions. I also used to Line Dance (you may need to ask your parents/grandparents about this) It was so much fun. I can’t wait to meet you all and meet my new form as well. I can’t wait to hear little facts about you and the exciting things you have been up to over the summer. I honestly believe you will settle in so well at The Snaith School in no time at all.  You will make so many amazing new friends and get to know all of the teachers really well.   You will have the best 5 years of your life.

I really look forward to seeing you in September.

Form Tutor's Welcome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pt06lBljra4

I'm Miss Engelmann, one of the Y7 Form Tutors here at The Snaith School. I have been with the Team at The Snaith School for two years now, but I was also a student here when I was your age too. My job is to help you settle in, making you feel as safe, welcome and as happy as I can during your time in Y7. Outside work, I do lots of running, lots of reading and lots of cooking at home. I really look forward to seeing you all in September. I know some of you will be feeling very nervous, but you really do have nothing to worry about. The Snaith School is a fantastic place! I hope you all have a great summer doing whatever makes you smile, and I will see you very soon.

Mr Elliott Form tutor of 7SEL

Form Tutor's Welcome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyLosrs6sec

Hello new Year 7. My name is Mr Elliott and I’ll be your new form tutor for this school year. I am also the Subject Leader of Music so I’m hoping our form has a strong representation in the school choirs and bands. Apart from music I enjoy spending time with my family – I have 2 sons. Lockdown has reinvigorated my long lost passion for reading and I’ve nearly finished all the Harry Potter books for the first time (I know – I was really missing out!). I also enjoy watching TV series on streaming services such as Netflix, watching sports – formula one and football in particular so I’m happy they have returned to our screens. I’m originally from Northern Ireland so it might take you a day or two to get used to my accent!

I’m really looking forward to meeting you all in September

Mrs Neesam Form Tutor of 7SN

Hi, my name is Mrs Neesam and I am in charge of Design & Technology and I’m a Year 7 tutor.  I've worked at The Snaith School since 2005 so well before some of you were born!  That must tell you something though, firstly it’s likely I went to school with your parents (I came to Snaith School too) and secondly it’s a great place to be.  You will love every second of your time at Snaith.

So a little bit about me, I am a mummy to Ivy who will start Primary School in September and I've just become a mummy again to Wilfred who is 6 months old.  I will be back in September to help get you settled into life at Snaith.  I cannot wait to meet you all and I'm sure you feel the same.
