Leadership

Leadership exists at all levels within the school with both staff and pupils modelling these qualities each day.

A brief explanation of the Senior Leadership structure.

Head Teacher - Values – Ms Blackledge 

Overall responsibility for Effectiveness of Leadership and Management (EoLM)
Overall responsibility for strategic planning and management. 

Leadership of the development of the Ethos and Values of the school, teaching and learning and communication and representation. 

 

Deputy Head Teacher Curriculum and Standards – Mr Issatt

Overall responsibility for Outcomes for Pupils and Learners (OfPL).

Overall responsibility for curriculum design, development and timetable. 

Overall responsibility for data and strategic target setting of all departments. 

 

Deputy Head Teacher – Pastoral Care, SEND and Careers – Mrs Yates

Overall responsibility for Personal Development, Behavior and Well-being (PDBW).

Overall strategic responsibility for all aspects of Learning Support and oversight of the Primary Transition program.

Overall responsibility for the management of all pupil care and welfare and behavior. 

Assistant Head Teacher – Teaching and learning, CPD and ITT – Miss Bentley

Overall responsibility for Quality of Teaching and Learning (QoTLA).

Overall responsibility for all aspects of Teaching and Learning including the quality of Teaching and Learning and leadership of the development of Teaching and Learning across the school. 

Responsibility for the development and monitoring of assessment, self-evaluation and staff development. 

School lead for YTA (Yorkshire Three Schools Alliance) and school centered Initial Teacher Training.

Assistant Head Teacher - Safeguarding, Attendance and Transport – Mr Wilson

Overall responsibility for the management of all pupil care and welfare as Designated Child Protection Officer. 

Responsibility for all aspects of Safeguarding and Child Protection in the role of designated Child Protection Officer.

Responsibility for home to school transport.

Responsibility for pupil attendance monitoring and intervention.

School Business Manager – Mrs Manners-Vaughan

Overall responsibility for all aspects of finance, including preparation and management of the school’s annual budget and preparation of the annual financial statements. 

Oversight of school funds and ensuring the school achieves best value for money. 

Overall responsibility for all Human Resources.

Oversight of the maintenance of all buildings and line management of the site management team. Oversight of lettings and responsibility for all aspects of health and safety.

Designated Data Protection Officer.
