Welcome
The ICT Department continues to change and adapt to the needs of the students and school. It currently comprises of 5 suites complete with interactive whiteboards, up-to-date computers and software.
The ICT department has made changes to the curriculum in order to provide all our students with the best possible opportunities to succeed.
KS3 Information
Students at Key Stage 3 are taught using the National Curriculum as the basis of their learning. We have completely updated our approach to teaching KS3 ICT, and through a themed unit approach and most recently on the VLE to accompany the pupils at home, the pupils develop skills with confidence and SELF-PACED Learning on the VLE:

All these units form the basis of FUNCTIONAL SKILLS in ICT in Year 8.KS4 starts in Yr9.

At KS4 we offer AiDa / CiDa or ICT Diploma
AIDA and CIDA
In this modern technological age almost every career choice will involve some aspect of ICT. If you want to unlock the many opportunities available to you when you leave school, choosing AiDa (1 GCSE) or CiDa(2 or 3 GCSE) as an option will be a wise and exciting thing to do.

ICT DIPLOMA
The Diploma is an entirely new course, designed to enable pupils to develop creativity, confidence and the ability to think, question, explore and communicate. You will learn about a particular industry, explore your own creatively, develop skills in critical thinking, problem solving and communication, and learn practical skills which will enable you to apply your ideas in different ways.
