Gifted & Talented
Gifted and Talented Pupils at the The Snaith School
What is Gifted and Talented?
The Snaith School is committed to personalising learning and raising attainment for all pupils. As part of this process, the school emphasises the importance of departments and individual teachers identifying and challenging all cohorts of pupils including those pupils who are Gifted and Talented (G&T). Our Gifted and Talented coordinators work within this school and across the cluster of primary schools to ensure that there is excellent provision for Gifted and Talented pupils. This is achieved by having a joint planning, close liaison and developing innovative ways of learning and working.
How are you identified as Gifted and Talented?
The DfES defines G&T pupils as those that are deemed to be the top 5-10% of the school;
'Gifted' describes learners who have the ability to excel academically in one or more subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
'Talented' describes learners who have the ability to excel in practical skills such as Art, Music, PE, or Drama.
Once identified, G&T pupils at The Snaith School are challenged at higher levels to progress towards their potential, both inside and outside of school lessons.

At The Snaith School we are very proud of our pupils' talents, some of which include;
