Arts Award

The Snaith School is excited about the launch of the Arts Award, a new initiative that enables pupils to explore different areas of the Arts and develop their creativity and gain new skills.
Arts Award will be taught in Drama and Music lessons to a class in Year 9. As the pupils progress through the course there will be regular updates, blogs and pictures of their work, arts participation and their portfolios…WATCH THIS SPACE!

- Nationally recognised qualification
- Framework for learning new skills and sharing them
- Qualification which creates links between young people and creative professionals in arts and media
- Rapidly growing award that can be achieved throughout the country
Year 9 will be completing the Bronze Award in four parts:
- Part A - Take part in an arts activity, anything from dance to creative writing to beat boxing.
- Part B - Go to a range of arts events, both with school and of your own choice.
- Part C - Find your arts hero or heroine, research their story, and discover how they got to where they are today.
- Part D - Share your skills by helping to run a workshop for other students or by giving a demonstration to others
