Alcohol and Drugs
ACE Days (Alternative Curriculum Experience)

There are three ACE days per year, where timetables are collapsed to allow students to take part in Alternative Curriculum Education. Year 9 students take part in a drug awareness where visitors such as the police, substance misuse service and families affected by drug abuse talk to them for the whole morning.
Substance Misuse Worker
Students requiring additional support around the use and abuse of drugs, tobacco and alcohol have access to the specialist substance misuse worker who will visit them on the school site when required.
Neighbourhood Action Team Partnership
The School has close links with the NAT team and students often attend meetings to offer a student voice. Projects have included secret shopper exercises around the sale of alcohol to underage children.
Pastoral Support
The Snaith School has a structured pastoral team headed by the Deputy Headteacher; Miss G Hill. Mrs Natalie Grant is the Pastoral officer in school who is available to support students who are withdrawn from classes or need more intense support with their learning.
Connexions

The Snaith School has two connexions Personal Advisors available on specific days of the week to support students. Part of the service is around alcohol and drugs support.
School Nurse
The school nurse is available each Tuesday lunchtime to support students around a variety of issues. The service is FREE and confidential meaning that discussions are completely private unless a student is deemed to be in danger. Jo-ann offers a smoking cessation service in the drop-in and will refer students if necessary for further support around substance misuse.
